Good Effort, Bad Result

In every game—except certain MLB All-Star Games overseen by Bud Selig—there are winners, and there are losers. And in some games, there is a third category of players whom can only appropriately be called total losers. These are the individuals who accidentally score points against their own team. It happens infrequently, and it's always embarrasing when it does, but it rarely reaches the astounding heights of sheer dumfoundment as the examples we have collated here. These guys couldn't repeat their pathetic feats of athleticism if they tried, which they'll never do again, for trying is what got them in trouble in the first place.
