A new petition has appeared online that proposes linking the day we honor our nation's presidents with the day we lie around next to a lined trashcan complaining about how bright it is and swearing we'll never drink again. The petitioners, who maintain they are a bipartisan group, argue that by combining Super Bowl weekend with President's Day we would actually make both events more "American." Though we at Jockular would like to point out that the current system of calling in with a hangover on post-Super Bowl Monday and then completely forgetting President's Day exists is about as "American" as it gets.
