Next to streaking, signs displaying witty acronyms for a network have long been the dominant sports fan strategy for getting on TV. However, not all of these signs are created equally, as is evidenced by this sign we spotted during last's night's Michigan State/Indiana game. It not didn't make us laugh good, many time.

My favorite sign of that night was "You rank 'em, we spank 'em!" Highlight that one. http://www.btpowerhouse.com/photos/indiana-runs-over-michigan-state-70-55/gallery

Clearly grammar plays little role in making a successful ESPN sign. Your attempt to rip this funny sign is a fail.

When I was at Seton Hall, a big game against UConn was going to be on ESPN. A Pirate fan decided to make a poster making fun of the Huskies' star player by writing:
El-Amin
Smokes
Pot and drives
New cars.
Seriously? It was embarassing. He had to get rid of the sign or get kicked out. -

The real question here is, wtf is behind the lady next to the kid with the sign? Is that a sign of someones face in a purple hat?

This obviously was a joke from this fan. I love these kinds of signs. You guys are the ones who didn't get the joke. I once made a sign for a game on NBC with the letters spelling out National Broadcasting Company. Is it hilarious? I don't know...in college we thought it was funny. Sometimes the humor borne from stupidity is funny. Hard to believe this was not intentional.
