Bruins goalie and ardent Tea Party supporter Tim Thomas made big news a few months ago — or at least, as close to "big news" as an NHL player is capable of making — when he snubbed President Obama by being the only member of the Stanley Cup champs to blow off the White House. Mischievous Washington Capitals fans sought to introduce the two themselves last night by plastering Obama's smiling mug all over the glass. Thomas did his best to avoid looking straight into the president's eyes, presumably for fear of exploding into a pile of welfare checks and pages of The Communist Manifesto.
