See if you can spot the ethnic bias in this year's NBA Rookie of the Year voting.
BASKETBALL

When ESPN asked 30 of its writers for their 2011-12 NBA Rookie of the Year picks, it was expected that 30 of them would vote for Cleveland's Kyrie Irving. The No. 1 overall pick in the draft led all rookies with 18.8 points per game, added 5.5 assists per game, and was a clutch performer at the crucial point guard position all season long. In fact, he was already named the ROY by the Sporting News on Tuesday (the NBA announces its official selection in the next week or so). But check out our man Alfredo Berrios, editor at ESPN Deportes (that's "sports" in Spanish), who deviated from the unanimity to side with Spaniard Ricky Rubio (who was on track for a ROY-worthy season before an injury shut him down after 41 games). Tune in next week when Berrios reveals his choice for MVP, Brook Lopez!
