If you're a baseball fan, you'll appreciate this. If you're not a baseball fan, let us explain a few things real quick. A home run is when the batter hits the ball over the fence. The batter then rounds the bases, touches home plate, and a run is recorded. Hitting the home run is one of the hardest things to do in baseball; touching all the bases is ostensibly the easiest. But last night in a low-level minor league game, Raul Mondesi, Jr. forgot to touch home plate after hitting a game-tying home run in the bottom of the 10th inning. And chaos ensued. What to watch for: the opposing pitcher having zero clue of how to appeal a runner not touching home plate following a home run BECAUSE IT NEVER EVER HAPPENS. What to listen for: the chorus of confused home team fans who have no idea what just occurred before them BECAUSE THIS NEVER EVER HAPPENS.
