What one can only imagine the Chick-fil-A Bowl trophy will look like this year.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL

"We pounded a lot of men tonight to defend heterosexual marriage and also the title."

God. Marriage. Gays. What do these things have to do with OK chicken sandwiches? Absolutely nothing, but neither does college football, and that didn't stop Chick-fil-A from taking over the Peach Bowl in 1998 and renaming it after themselves. With each passing day, the man who must have been teased relentlessly as a boy for being named Cathy seems to insert himself into more and more arenas of public discussion. With the college Chick-fil-A Bowl just around the corner, we can only imagine what cultural demands he will make of the teams. Will all the players have to sign a "Chick-Filler" pledge to prove they like ladies? Will they have to marry the girls they were offered on their recruiting tours? That seems like the Christian thing to do. We wish Mr. Cathy all the luck with figuring out how he fits in the 21st century, and we hope he fares better than most chickens who stick their necks out.

If you don't know the difference between a paedophile and two consenting adults, I'm not so sure I want you on the same streets. And what a ridiculously insensitive thing to compare someone's relationship to a sex crime. Shame on you, you hateful person.

I see your point. I expect you'll feel the same way when pedophiles want it made legal for them to marry children. The argument will be "interracial and homosexual marriage was once illegal too..."

It is not the owner, it is part of the business' corporate culture, and they are spending their money on supporting anti-gay initiatives. It is something that this company is proud of.

The gay community wants the same rights that you have, nothing more. If anyone is pushing anything on anyone, it's jerks like you. The problem is not that this guy said what he said, it's that they are spending MILLIONS on trying to keep folks from being able to marry the person they love.

Folks -- interracial marriage was illegal at one time. While it wouldn't surprise me if some of you think "and for damn good reason," but it's now seen as backwards and bigoted. This too will go the same way.

The gay community just doesn't seen happy unless they push their crap into my face. People, get over yourselves, your not that important. Mr Cathy can have an opinion, as long as it I'd these same as yours or its not valid. You want to censor his opinion but i have to listen to all the endless crying from a tiny segment that gets the most airplay. I honestly don't think most people understand the hypocrisy of your argument. I think the silent majority yesterday showed their where line of thinking is. Sorry, you lose. Now you're just looking like children that didn't get their way.

I'm pretty sure a fast food chain doesn't have a stance on same sex marriage. The owner may, but the restaurant does not. I'm not really understanding all the hulabaloo anyway.

He never said he hated homosexuals. He doesn't hire or not hire based on sexual preference (if he was, there'd be thousands of lawsuits). He said he supports the traditional marriage/family. You can support one thing and not be out to get the other. If he was out picketing and leading sit ins and things - that'd be different.

Traditional marriage and family is a man and a woman-who are married- raising their children together. He states he supports that and the homosexual community felt it was discrimination or whatever, but couples (man and a woman) that live together-unmarried-didn't raise a fuss. Single moms or single dads didn't freak out and holler bigotry or discrimination.

Those who want same sex marriage went off the deep end. It's almost like they look for stuff to get bent out of shape about. Not saying that is the case, just saying it certainly appears that way... However, I'm pretty sure he doesn't care. They set a sales record yesterday. lol

(One other thing. As I pointed out, he's not arranged or called for sit ins, picketing, etc., but he's getting all this grief because he made a statement of how he personally felt. He's not gone out and pushed his beliefs on anyone. (not to my knowledge anyway) The homosexual community is calling for a "kiss in" at all the Chik-Fil-As all over the country. That appears to be a person who wants to push their beliefs on others... Just sayin'...)
