Twitter. For thousands of years, the greatest competitors on earth have travelled to Greece to issue short, snarky observations on whatever was trending at the moment. In ancient times, this could mean jokes were about events weeks, months, or even years earlier. History records the story of the Tweeter who ran 26.2 miles from Marathon to Athens to yell "Nike! Could have really used some Nikes, my feet hurt!" and then died. Since then, tweets have gotten slightly better, and much, much faster. Much like Usain Bolt, today's tweeters would never be caught dead thinking about something that happened more than 10 seconds ago. However, in the tradition of the ancient games, we decided to compile some of the best tweets of the past week of Olympic Games. That's right, an entire week.
