FitDay is a pretty interesting fitness journal

My decision to download FitDay was based solely on the recomendation of a friend who is always trying to get more fit, more ripped, and healthier. So, I have entered my food intake and my exercise and my mood and my weight for a couple days now.

I assume I don’t have to be too obsessive yet, but I do need some measuring tools such as a kitchen scale and that sort of thing, but for now, I think it will be good enough to try to just eyeball my intake to get into the habit, to make sure I maintain the log.

Simpler the better. We’ll see if FitDay works for me. I plan to take another 3-hour walk today around the city, reading papers, and getting some exercise. When I lose a little more weight, I will get back to daily jogs, which will accellerate things substantially. Wish me luck!

I pretend I am in great shape on each run

I got a great comment from JOCKO over on my blog, “I love the ‘fake it ’til you make it’ slogan. I feel this way as I begin training for each marathon that I run. I always pretend I am in great shape on each run, and pretty soon it all comes together.” I know JOCKO and he is a world-ranked marathoner (#73 in Boston) — even he “fakes it” every day, on every run! Thanks JOCKO!
