For decades, the role of the disruptive fan entering a field of play has been played by a drunk, sometimes costumed young man, but over the weekend we were introduced to what many are calling the future of game-crashing spectators — and that future is fiercely female. During the closing minutes of the first half in the Lakers/Nuggets game last night, 20-year-old Savannah McMillan-Christmas broke the glass ceiling for insane women at sporting events when she stormed the court in an attempt to ask JaVale McGee out for sushi? Who knows exactly why, but she has a reported history of stalking players and had already been banned from the Pepsi Arena. Her presence rattled the home team as the Lakers went on to win the game and take a 3-1 first-round playoff lead. Perhaps it's all part of Savannah's dastardly plan to end her team's season early so she can hunt them down off the court, like a normal stalker.
